The economic downturn seen over the past year plateaued during the third quarter. The economic tendency index for the Gothenburg region fell three units and remains on a strong normal level. Growth in the region’s key export markets is expected to remain unchanged in 2020. Parallel to this, the labour market in the Gothenburg region remains resilient and has continued to grow by 2.4%.
